Dustin Beebe, P.E. began his career with ProSys as an Associate Engineer in 1996. After serving as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for eight years, Dustin accepted the positions of President and Chief Executive Officer in 2009. As President and CEO, Dustin guided the operations of the company by setting and communicating ProSys’ vision of maximizing the customer’s control system. He ensured that each department is committed to providing innovative services and software to solve our customers’ ever-increasing challenges. Dustin believes that continuously advancing technology is the key to providing value to customers.

After the acquisition of ProSys by Emerson in 2018, Dustin became Vice President of Emerson’s Control and Operator Performance. In addition to his executive duties, Dustin continues to directly serve customers by using his experience and expertise on alarm management and advanced control by assisting them in dealing with complex unit operating problems.

Dustin holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He earned his Professional Engineer designation in 2001 and was inducted into the Arkansas Academy of Chemical Engineers in 2017.


Karelys Harleaux

Karelys Harleaux joined ProSys as an Associate Engineer in 2002. Prior to assuming her current role of Engineering Services Manager for Emerson’s Control and Operator Performance, she served as Human-Machine Interface Manager until 2007.

Karelys maximizes the performance of Emerson’s engineers in order to satisfy our customers’ needs and expectations. She and her staff maintain an organized service schedule so that Emerson is able to ensure customers that their projects will be completed on time and within budget.

Karelys earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 2002.


Katherine Persac

Sales and Marketing Manager, Control and Operator Performance

With a background in accounting and business management, Katherine Persac joined ProSys as Accounting and Office Manager in 1996. She then accepted the position of Secretary/Treasurer in 1999. Kathy currently fulfills the roles of Manager of Sales and Marketing for Emerson’s Control and Operator Performance and is a key member of the transition team between ProSys and Emerson.

Kathy strives to ensure that our customers are satisfied with our services and software. She is responsible for the review of contracts, including sales proposals. She communicates with clients regarding prospective, existing and completed projects and oversees the sales and marketing staff. Kathy enjoys meeting new customers at trade shows and conferences.

Kathy is involved with the International Society of Automation (ISA), currently serving in an international capacity on the Social Media and Website Advisory Committee, the Honors and Awards Committee and the ISA 101 HMI standard committee. She serves as Marketing Chair and Alternate Delegate for the ISA Baton Rouge Section and is also a member of American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and the Louisiana Chemical Industry Alliance (LCIA).


Michael Barrett

Michael Barrett serves as Business Development Manager for International Sales. He started in 2013 with over 40 years of experience in Process Automation. His prior positions include Systems Analyst, Account Manager, Regional Sales Manager, District Process Leader and Owner of a Sales representative firm. Michael focuses primarily on emerging technologies that have resulted in a step-change in the user’s experience in automation. 

Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. From primary measurement to DCS and Advanced Control, Michael has consistently delivered value-added perspective to meeting the needs of operating companies with a customer first attitude. Recognizing new technologies and blending them with proven engineering practices is a valuable asset that Michael brings to his role at Emerson.


Steve Ferrer

Steve Ferrer began his career with ProSys in 2010. Prior to joining ProSys, he served as a consultant to many industrial manufacturing sites along the Gulf Coast from Brownsville, Texas to Panama City, Florida for over 23 years.

As Business Development Manager for Emerson, Steve is responsible for building relationships with prospects, as well as engaging and developing its’ current customers. In addition, he has been the driving force to develop and publish technical papers and presentations for national conferences such as ISA, AIChE, GCPS and many others.

Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.


John Veldhuis

With over 20 years of experience in industrial software solution sales, John Veldhuis joined ProSys in 2017 to expand and develop business in the refining and chemical industries. After relocating to Texas from Alberta with Matrikon International to expand their business in the US, John joined Honeywell thru the acquisition of Matrikon.

John has enjoyed developing solutions for a number of large organizations in Refining, Petrochemical and Specialty Chemical industries through the deployment of best in class technology solutions. Primary applications focus on improving safety, reliability and production efficiencies. Experience covers control systems, Alarm Management, MES, production management solutions & strategic asset management applications. John holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Alberta. He is also a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineering (AIChE).


Jason Borne

After serving as both Senior Developer and Lead Developer since his hire in 2007, Jason Borne accepted the position of Development Manager in 2009. With the support of his team, Jason strives to provide innovative, intelligent designs which solve customers’ complex process control problems, specifically geared towards maximizing plant performance and increasing customer efficiency.

Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.


David Solberg

David Solberg joined ProSys as an Associate Engineer in February of 2005. After serving as an Associate Engineer and Lead Engineer in our Baton Rouge office, David moved to our German office to serve as a Lead Engineer and then Engineering Manager. He accepted the position of Product Manager in April 2017. As Product Manager, David makes sure new features that benefit our customers are regularly added to our software products.

David holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Natal, Durban, South Africa and a master’s in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is also a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineering (AIChE), the National Society of Professional Engineers (NPSE) and the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE).

As the Marketing Manager, Keith Duncan joined ProSys with extensive experience in print and digital marketing through media production, online analyst expertise and internet technology development. With a background in Plant Engineering, Keith is a natural fit and has over 30 years’ experience to add to our diversified team. 

As a marketing consultant for the past two decades, Keith brings a passion to developing the brand and exposure for ProSys. In addition to marketing, Keith is a graphic designer, video producer and enjoys the challenge of bringing a project from concept to full completion.
